Michael in Turkey!
Welcome to my blog. Through the U.S. Department of State, I was awarded a Fulbright Teaching Exchange, which allows me to exchange a teaching position with someone from another country. I will be teaching in Ankara, Turkey for the 2006-7 school year, and my counterpart, Arif Hifzioglu will be teaching in Averill Park. Arif and his family are living in our Albany house, and I will be living in an apartment provided by my school in Turkey. Throughout the year, I will be publishing my observations of Turkey in this blog, rather than e-mailing everyone each time I have an original thought. My updates will follow no set pattern; rather, when I have time and new thoughts. Check it as often as you like.
